Our stock for this French variety originated in Spain and it is the same as Col de Dame Noir. The fig has a long neck and is said to resemble the "collar of a lady" or "Collier d'une Dame" when high collars and expensive jeweled necklaces were in fashion in French royalty. Translated to Spanish it becomes "Coll de Dama"

This fig is purple to black on the outside and red on the inside and it produces one crop late in the season. 

Delicious flavor. Highly desirable fig.
