This large, black, smooth skinned fig from Spain is said to be Montserrat Pons personnel favorite. It is a prolific producer and a mid season fig. The fig is deep red inside, firm, sweet and fruity. We start getting ripe figs in early September and our trees keep producing great tasting figs as late as mid-November.
Calderona has very large and interesting shaped leaves. Its a very attractive fig tree.
