This variety, frequently found for sale in French nurseries, produces red and purple skinned figs. The interior is red and amber.
We can taste peaches and nectarines in this pleasantly sweet fig. It has uncommon flavors compared to our other dark figs.
The Pastilière produces many first crop figs in early spring. Nearly all will drop before they develop. In early summer a second crop will grow and reach maturity. The tree will need to mature for a couple years to hold all of the the second crop.
