This rare fig originates from the town of Calce in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of southern France. Calce is close to the border with Spain.

Ravin de Calce is an exceptional fig variety. The tree has beautiful lobed leaves and with heavy ribs. The fig is sweet and fruity. It is also an attractive fig that is dark purple-red outside and red inside. It has two crops. The first in July and the second in September. It is very productive for us, producing many large figs all the way to the end of the season.

Pronounced : "rav on de kice"
