This is an excellent tasting fig that we grew from cuttings from the University California - Davis.
Barnisotte UCD #69 is not synonymous with Violette de Solliès, Bourjassotte noire, Barnissote noire or Parisienne. Barnisotte #69 produces figs with a different shape and different color than those above. We consider this an unknown variety. The fig is large, sweet, juicy and ripens in mid-September.
